Denver General Contractor for Remodels, Additions, and Whole-Home Projects

We hold a Denver Class C residential contractor license, #LIC00253513.
- Denver Class C residential contractor license
- 12-month labor warranty on remodels
- $1,000 deposit then pay as each phase is finished
What a general contractor does on your Denver project
A remodel touches a lot of trades. Framers, plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs, drywallers, tile setters, and finish carpenters all need to show up in the right order. Someone has to line that up and answer for it. That's our job.
Even a single bathroom usually pulls in four or five trades. A whole-house remodel needs nearly all of them. Here's how a job runs.
- 01
Walkthrough and written estimate
We walk the house with you and price the work line by line, labor and materials both. You know what you're paying for before anything starts.
- 02
Drawings and permits
We get the drawings done, add an engineer when a wall or beam is involved, and pull the permits.
- 03
Trades and schedule
We book each trade and keep the order tight. Your project manager runs the site and is the one person you call.
- 04
Inspections
The city checks the framing and the rough-ins before the walls close, then comes back for a final. We meet the inspector every time.
- 05
Walkthrough and warranty
We go through the punch list with you and close it out. Then the warranty starts.

Who runs your job
These are the people you'll actually talk to.
- Tomer Sisoowner and project manager
- Solomon Salemproject manager
- Dmytroproject manager
- Alisa Bogomolnyoffice manager, scheduling and permits
Once your job starts, one project manager owns it from demo to the final inspection.
Permits, licensing, and inspections in Denver
Colorado doesn't license general contractors at the state level. Cities do. In Denver, Community Planning and Development issues building contractor licenses in classes A through D. A Class C license covers one- and two-unit homes and attached townhomes. That's the residential work we do. You can look up any contractor's license on Denver's contractor page before you sign.
Most real remodels need a permit. Moving plumbing does. So does new wiring, and so does taking out a wall. We pull those permits under our license and schedule the inspections.
The suburbs run their own building departments. Our Thornton deck and bath needed two separate City of Thornton permits, one for each. Arvada reviewed a stamped beam design before we took out a load-bearing wall there.
Two things add time in Denver. Homes in a historic district can need design review for exterior changes. Some HOAs want to approve plans too. We'll tell you up front if either applies to your house.
What it costs, how you pay, and how long it takes
These are the ranges most of our 2026 projects land in.
- Bathroom remodel
- $20,000 to $40,000
- Kitchen remodel
- $25,000 to $85,000
- Basement finish
- $60 to $120 per sq ft
- ADU
- $375 to $450 per sq ft
Where you land depends on scope. Moving plumbing or walls costs more than keeping the layout. So does engineering. Finish level matters too. Older Denver houses can also hide surprises behind the walls.
How long it takes. A Cherry Creek North townhome took eight weeks for five spaces, permits and inspections included. A full Arvada remodel with a structural wall removal took about sixteen weeks.
Warranty. Remodels carry a 12-month warranty on our labor. New builds, ADUs, and additions carry 24 months.
Before and after: one room, one project manager
Drag the slider. This Westminster master bath went from a built-in tub and a separate shower to a walk-in tub and a curbless shower in about five weeks, permit and inspection included. See the Westminster project

Multi-trade projects we've run

Arvada whole-house remodel
What they wanted: an open kitchen in a 3,500 sq ft house, plus a new primary bath.
What we did: took out a load-bearing wall on a stamped beam plan, built the kitchen remodel around it, refinished the floors, and repainted the house. About sixteen weeks.

Wash Park main-level renovation
What they wanted: one open living space on the main floor of a brick home.
What we did: removed a load-bearing wall and set a 20-foot steel beam. We also cut new window openings in the brick and built a white oak staircase. Eight weeks.

Cherry Creek North townhome
What they wanted: five spaces updated on one schedule.
What we did: the kitchen, a primary bathroom remodel, a new second-floor laundry, hardwood floors, and a basement remodel. Eight weeks, permits included.

Thornton deck and hall bath
What they wanted: a deck that didn't drain toward the house, and a better hall bathroom.
What we did: a 280 sq ft Trex deck rebuild on five concrete piers, a cedar pergola, and an 80 sq ft bathroom. About two months.
Thinking bigger? We also build ADUs and room additions, plus custom homes. If you're still sorting out what you want, start with planning and design.

Solomon and team were fantastic to work with on our ~150 sq ft kitchen addition project. They stayed within our budget, were strictly on time and were also very flexible about letting me (the homeowner) do certain parts of the work. Highly recommend!Posted on Google![]()

We are so glad we chose Verified Builders and Tomer for our kitchen remodel. This was an extensive project that included raising our enclosed porch and ceiling, and completely changing our kitchen. My husband had a vision for what he wanted the kitchen to look like, and Tomer did a wonderful job of bringing that vision to life. Throughout the project, Tomer was great about keeping us on schedule and keeping us informed about the progress. Anytime we had a question or concern, he was incredibly responsive and always made sure we were happy with the work. When an issue came up, Tomer was always quick to find a solution, often giving us a couple of options for how to resolve it. We really appreciated his communication during the project. Our neighbors had recently completed a major remodel on their home, and they were surprised by how quickly our project was completed compared to theirs. We were very happy with how smoothly and efficiently everything came together. We couldn't be happier with our new kitchen and the final results. We would absolutely use Verified Builders and Tomer again for future projects and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a remodel.Posted on Google![]()

I recently got a deck and concrete patio done by tomer and his crew and they did an absolutely excellent job. I was out of town and had a very tight timeline and they finished it a week ahead of schedule, and tomer was extremely communicative the entire time. It was a pretty big ask and a pretty big project for someone to do a project this big while I wasn’t even in the state, and tomer got it done and exceeded all of my expectations. I felt very comfortable the whole time and he updated me every step of the way, and got an engineer to inspect every step of the project. I called about 8 places to get quotes and tomer was one of the few people that was responsive, sent a full quote, and plans very quickly. He seemed trustworthy and serious about his business right off the bat and I couldn’t be happier that I went with verified builders for my deck. It looks amazing.Posted on Google![]()

Verified Builders remodeled our son's bathroom. It was an intense process, but the result was a real transformation. The bathroom looks much more spacious and is a high quality upgrade. We wish the rest of the bathrooms in our house were as nice! We're thankful to Solomon for his excellent project management and the high quality results. Solomon is a great manager. He's nice, easy to talk with, and excels at managing the different contractors, permits and timing. Solomon did his best to help us while we lived in a house under construction. It wasn't an easy process, but Solomon helped us through the bathroom remodel and ensured it went as smoothly as possible. Verified Builders used great contractors, especially Anatoli at AMP Tiling. We're so thankful we entrusted them with our home.Posted on Google![]()

From the first time Solomon came to meet us I knew he was the one I wanted to work with for our bathroom remodel. He showed expertise and attention to detail we were looking for. I felt that he was direct and trustworthy, so I was elated when we came to an agreement on a competitive price. A great thing about Solomon was that he didn’t disappear once we signed a contract. He showed up nearly every day to check on progress, get our input, and guide the project forward. He was the star of the show and quarterbacked it all but I must also mention the subs they chose all rocked. Wonderful craftsmen who did excellent work, showed up on time, and kept our home as clean as can be expected. The verified admin staff were super helpful and efficient as well! I have already referred friends to Solomon and Verified Builders, as I would recommend to all. Thank you for a tremendous experience making our dream bathroom come to life!Posted on Google![]()

We recently worked with Verified Builders on our home renovation and had such a great experience from start to finish. The project included a basement remodel with new flooring, lighting, drywall, paint, and a completely updated bathroom. Tomer was organized, responsive, and genuinely cared about every detail throughout the process. Communication was always clear, timelines were respected, and the entire crew was professional, respectful, and easy to have around the house. The final result turned out even better than we imagined, and you can really tell they take pride in their work. Would absolutely recommend Verified Builders to anyone looking for a reliable and high-quality contractor in Denver.Posted on Google![]()

We recently used Verified Builders to remodel our primary bedroom and bathroom, and we were pretty happy with how everything turned out. Like any remodel, there were a few hiccups along the way, but the team was professional, responsive, and worked hard to resolve every issue that came up. The cost for labor was accurate and fair and detailed. Each change required a change order and our approval, which kept things transparent and organized, which we also really appreciated. We purchased the materials on our own, which naturally increased the overall cost, but that was expected. The final result was absolutely worth it, our bathroom came out amazing, and we love our new space. We would absolutely work with this company again and would highly recommend them to others.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified that these reviews were published on Verified Builders's Google Business Profile. General contractor FAQ
Still have a question? Call (720) 788-2230 and ask for Alisa.
Do I need a general contractor for a kitchen or bathroom remodel?
If the job moves plumbing, wiring, or walls, a general contractor usually saves you time. Those changes need permits, inspections, and several trades working in order. You can hire each trade yourself, but then you're the one scheduling them and answering the inspector.
Who pulls the permit in Denver?
On our jobs, we do. Verified Builders pulls the permits under our Denver Class C license and schedules every inspection. In the suburbs, we work with each city's building department, since Thornton, Arvada, and the others issue their own permits.
How do I check a Denver contractor's license?
Denver Community Planning and Development keeps the contractor license records, and you can search them through the city's contractor licensing pages. Look for a building contractor license that fits the job. For homes, that's usually Class C. Ours is #LIC00253513.
How do payments work?
You pay a $1,000 deposit to get on the schedule. After that, each payment is a set percentage of the contract, due when a phase of the work is finished. You never pay far ahead of the work.
Do you match other bids?
Yes. Bring us a written bid from another licensed contractor and we'll beat the price, as long as it's apples to apples. That means the same scope of work and the same materials. A lower number for a smaller job or cheaper materials doesn't count.
How long does a whole-home remodel take?
Ours have run from about eight weeks to about four months. A Cherry Creek North townhome took eight weeks for five spaces. An Arvada house with a load-bearing wall removal took about sixteen weeks. Permits, engineering, and material lead times drive most of the difference.
Do you work outside Denver?
Yes. We work across the Denver metro, including Arvada, Thornton, Northglenn, Westminster, Centennial, Littleton, Englewood, Parker, and Highlands Ranch. Each city has its own permit office, and we handle the permits wherever the house is.

Tell us what you want to change. We'll walk the house with you and give you a written estimate.
